The configurations are the same as in Figure 3A. With highly nonlinear dendrite, the circuit showed contrast-dependent accurate memory formation for a range of input intensity not only when recurrent inhibition was mediated dendritically (B) but also when it was mediated somatically (A), in contrast to the previous cases with moderately nonlinear dendrite.
