Space-responsive neurons had significantly larger spike counts after VASS onset compared with spike counts for the same time interval preceding VASS onset (p < 0.05, paired t test). Space-selective neurons had significant effect of virtual location on spike counts (one-way ANOVA, p < 0.05) or on first spike latency (mutual information between the first spike latency and virtual location).
