Cell-specific forskolin-induced LTP in burst-spiking cells. A, Subicular pyramidal cells display regular firing or bursting behavior in response to depolarizing current pulses. Regular firing cells showed trains of single action potentials during depolarizing current injections. In burst firing cells, depolarization above threshold caused bursts of 2–3 action potentials followed by single action potentials or additional bursts. Calibration: 30 mV, 50 ms.
