BDNF is unable to induce full activation of TrkB and of downstream Akt and PLCγ in Fyn-deficient neurons. A, DIV 8–10 mouse corticohippocampal neurons, obtained from Fyn wild-type (+/+), heterozygous (+/−), and knock-out (−/−) littermates, were stimulated with BDNF for 40 min. Whole lysates from these cells were probed with the anti-Trk (C14), anti-phospho-TrkA (Tyr490), and anti-Fyn (15) antibodies, in addition to the antibodies against the TrkB signaling proteins described in the legend of Figure 6.
