Summarized above are the results of all colocalization studies performed on Lim1 conditional mutant retinas and controls. Colocalization or lack of colocalization between anti-lacZ and a battery of retinal markers are indicated by pluses or minuses, respectively. Cumulatively, these results suggest that the ectopic Lim1-lacZ+ cells are horizontal cells in their identity.
