Density of VT/MT immunostaining after incubation of frog brain sections with the monoclonal VP antibody (diluted 1:1000) or with the antibody preincubated with graded concentrations of synthetic VT or MT. The results are expressed as percentages of the intensity of the immunolabeling (IL) in the absence of peptide (positive control) and classified as follows: ++++, 100% > IL ≥ 80%; +++, 80% > IL ≥ 60%; ++, 60% > IL ≥ 40%; +, 40% > IL ≥ 10%; −, IL < 10%.
