Correlations were computed for the decrease–attend and increase–attend contrasts for both data types. Correlations were computed between pupil diameter and the four statistically defined frontal ROIs and the two Talairach Atlas-defined amygdala ROIs. For decrease–attend, n = 12. Data for one subject were excluded for increase–attend because of extreme outlier status on several variables; thus, n = 11. Early, 0.5–2.0 s after instruction; Middle, 2.5–3.5 s after instruction; Late, 4.0–5.0 s after instruction.
*Correlation is significant at the 0.05 level, two-tailed.
**Correlation is significant at the 0.01 level, two-tailed.
+Correlation shows a trend at the 0.10 level, two-tailed.
