One hundred randomly selected BrdU-positive cells per structure per animal were examined for colocalization with phenotypic markers of neurons (NeuN), oligodendrocytic precursors (NG2), and endothelial cells (RECA-1). The analysis was performed on the side ipsilateral to the 6-OHDA lesion. n = 4 for all groups.
