A schema for therapy and examination. Indacaterol was used as a long-acting β2-adrenergic receptor agonist (a LABA). Ciclesonide was used as an inhaled glucocorticosteroid (an ICS). A short-acting β2-adrenergic receptor agonist (a SABA) was used on demand to inhibit exacerbations.
