TIMP‐1, α‐SMA and PAI‐1 in the immortalized hepatic stellate cells. Triton X‐114 water‐phases (WP) and detergent‐phase (DP) extracts of either LX‐1 or of LX‐2 cells were prepared and loaded (each lane WP or DP from approximately 9.4 × 10⁵ cells) on non‐reduced SDS‐PAGE gels, followed by Western blotting using 2 μg/mL of the following antibodies: mAb against TIMP‐1, mAb against α‐SMA and a pAb against PAI‐1. In lane 1, 20 ng of purified recombinant TIMP‐1 was applied as positive control. Electrophoretic mobility of standard proteins are indicated to the right.
