Effects of EA on the levels of SP and CGRP in the L4–L5 spinal cord of formalin-treated rats as determined by ELISA. Compared with control group, the levels of SP and CGRP were dramatically increased in model group. Pre-EA and post-EA effectively inhibited the increased levels of SP and CGRP induced by formalin injection, and pre-EA treatment significantly reduced the level of SP as compared to post-EA. Data were expressed as Mean ± SD. #P<0.05 compared with control group; *P<0.05 compared with model group; &P<0.05 compared with post-EA group.
