Sample preparation for cryosectioning. (a) Sample and cryosection specimen holder equilibrating to the temperature of the cryostat. (b) Freezing medium added to the specimen holder is beginning to freeze. (c) Once the freezing medium has turned white, the sample is pressed into it.
