Glucose-induced p53 activation requires activation and post translational geranylgeranylation of Rac1. INS-1 832/13 cells (a) were incubated with LG and HG in the absence or presence of EHT1864, Simvastatin or GGTI-2147 for 24 h. Lysate proteins were separated and analyzed by western blotting for total and phosphorylated p53.
