CLCF1 inhibits the induction of osteogenic specific genes in MSCs. MSCs were expanded in AMEM medium (CTL−), AMEM medium supplemented with CLCF1 (100 ng/ml) (CLCF1), osteogenic medium (Ost), or osteogenic medium supplemented with CLCF1 (100 ng/ml) (Ost + CLCF1) for 3 weeks. Dlx5, Runx2, osterix, osteocalcin, alkaline phosphatase, β-catenin, PPARγ, OPG, and RANKL mRNA expression was quantified by RT-qPCR. Results were normalized using the housekeeping gene HPRT mRNA levels. Vertical dot plots indicate mean mRNA -fold changes ± S.D. (error bars).
