Sexual dimorphism of upper gastrointestinal motility is not present in neonatal C57BL/6J mice, but develops over time, as measured by the distribution of FITC-dextran 30 minutes after gastric gavage, with testing performed in the morning and after no fasting (2 weeks) or after a short fast (4, 6, 8, and 10 weeks).
