Expression of OsNAM and OsGRAM increased tolerance in S. cerevisiae (INVSc1). S. cerevisiae (INVSc1) cells transformed with empty vector (pYES2), OsGRAM and OsNAM were cultured in YPD medium with 2% galactose containing (a) Glycerol, (b) NaCl, (c) Mannitol, (d) high temperature, (e) Arsenite and (f) Arsenate. Growth was monitored spectrophotometrically at 600 nm.
