On-gel detection of myrosinase of the horseradish (Armoracia rusticana) hairy root clones, (a) initiated from petiole (ArP), (b) initiated from leaf blade (ArLB) shows visible variability. MyrB2 isoenzyme is present almost in all clones. Some hairy root clone contained three isoenzymes, which are ArLB113, ArLB116, ArP23. The detection solution contains methyl red which gives intensive red bands where the HSO42− is enzymatically released from the glucosinolates.
