The line (top) and three-dimensional structures (bottom) of the lipids 1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (POPC), 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (DOPE), and the −2e charge version of the lipid tetralinoleoyl cardiolipin (CL) used in the model mitochondrial outer membranes. The line structure drawings were generated using Lipid MAPS (125) and Open Babel tools (126) tools.
