HD-PTP is required for ephrin-B2-induced cell collapse. (a) Representative images of Alexa Fluor 568-conjugated phalloidin-stained ControlshRNA and HD-PTPshRNA HeLa cells transfected with EphB2-GFP, and stimulated 15 min with 1 µg/mL eB2 or Fc. (b) Quantification of HeLa cell area shows that ControlshRNA EphB2-OE cells collapse to about half their size in response to 1 µg/mL eB2, while HD-PTPshRNA EphB2-OE cells collapse only by ~20% (n = 3, 60–80 cells/n; ControlshRNA, p = 0.0003; HD-PTPshRNA, p = 0.0008; Student’s t-test).
