—Phylogeny and expression of the transient receptor potential (trp) cation channel gene family. Lepidopterans have a duplication of the wtrw trpa gene and Manduca sexta has a duplication of TRPA5. Expression of trp is ∼50× less than trpl in M. sexta, a lepidopteran which is active under dim light conditions.
