The solid black line (‘QR coeff’) is the quantile regression estimate of income at each quantile; the dark grey (‘QR UL’) and the light grey (‘QR LL’) solid lines are the upper limit and lower limit, respectively, of the 95% confidence intervals of the quantile estimates. Ordinary least squares estimates - black dashed line ‘OLS coeff’ - and their 95% confidence intervals (dark and light grey dashed lines ‘OLS UL’ and ‘OLS LL’) are reported as a way of comparison.
