PB induces CYP2B6 and CYP3A4 expressions in human primary hepatocytes. Human hepatocytes prepared from liver donors #132 (A–C) and #134 (D–F) were treated with 1 µM CITCO, 10 µM RIF, and 0.5 and 1 mM PB for 24 or 72 hours to analyze mRNA and protein, respectively. Expression of CYP2B6 and CYP3A4 mRNA and protein were measured using RT-PCR and western blotting assays. Results are expressed as mean ± S.D. (n = 3) (**P < 0.01; ***P < 0.001).
