Bisulfite sequencing PCR analysis of cervical squamous cell carcinomas and corresponding normal cervical tissues. (A) In a representative case of cervical squamous cell carcinoma, the CpG sites (underlined) were semi-methylated, whereas their corresponding sites in normal cervical tissue were completely methylated (underlined). (B) The methylation rate of C8orf4 gene in cervical squamous cell carcinomas (73.10% ± 2.32%) were significantly lower than that in normal cervical tissues (84.76% ± 1.84%) (P = .001, n = 30).
