Ca2+-activated Cl currents (IClCa) were evoked by application of voltage steps from −80 to 70 mV in 10 mV increments from a holding potential of −80 mV. (B) Simulated currents evoked by the same pulse protocol used in (A) are shown. (C) Relations between membrane potential (mV) and time constants of activation (τ) are shown. Time constants obtained from experimental recording (▪) in (A) are superimposed with a red line plotted by mathematical function used in (B). (D) Current-voltage relationships from (A) (▪) and from (B) (●) are superimposed. Current amplitudes are measured at the end of test pulses and are normalized to the maximum.
