The mRNA levels of inflammasome receptors including NLRP3 and AIM2, adaptor protein-like ASC, and toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) and TLR4 were measured in assays of human blood monocyte-derived macrophages with heat-killed Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) (multiplicity of infection: 100) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (5 μg/ml) for 6 hours.
