Abortive therapies for pediatric migraine.

Ibuprofen 10 mg/kg every 6–8 h
Age > 12 y to adult: 400–600 mg every 6 h
Max: 2,400 mg/day
Naproxen sodium 5-7 mg,kg every 8–12 h
Age > 13 y to adult: 250–500 mg every 8 h
Max: 1,250 mg/day
Acetaminophen 10–15 mg/kg every 4–6 h
Age > 13y to adult: 650–1,000 mg every 6-8 h

Rizatriptan Children < 40 kg: 5 mg PO once Children > 40 Kg: 10 mg PO once Max: 30 mg/day (propranolol will increase serum concentration of rizatriptan)
Zolmitriptan Nasal
Children > 12 y: 2.5–5 mg IN once
Max: 10 mg/day

Sumatriptan Nasal
