(c) Variations in the lactic acid to glucose (Lac/Glu) mole ratio during the culture period. The static-state culture had a high L/G (Lac/Glu) ratio as represented by the anaerobic metabolism, with O2 shortage occurring during cultivation. However, the low Lac/Glu ratio in the flow reactor and spinner flask revealed that the dynamic culture had high amounts of oxygen and mass transportation.
