Acylcarnitine concentrations are decreased in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) but not plasma of type 2 diabetes (T2D) monkeys. (A,B) Total and short-chain acylcarnitine concentrations were significantly decreased in the plasma of T2D and IR monkeys, (C,D), however, medium- and long-chain acylcarnitines were not significantly different.
