Results from field releases in Los Angeles, CA. (A) During the release period only, individuals reared in water samples from the treated (T) area experienced higher mortality (p < 0.0001), relative to that observed from the untreated (U) area. (B) During the release period only, the number of adult males in the treated area was elevated (p < 0.005) relative to that observed in the untreated area. (C) During the release (p < 0.0001) and post-release (p < 0.05) periods, a lower number of adult females was observed in the treated area relative to that observed in the untreated area.
