Lateral radii $R_{\mathrm{AFM}}$ of all dried core-shell microgel particles obtained from the AFM images presented in Figure 2. The errors were extracted from the standard deviations of $R_{\mathrm{AFM}}$. The lateral radius of the core microgels was 88 nm (No corrections with respect to the tip profile were applied).
