In vitro interaction of uncoated and coated nanoMOFs with PCDs CD-P, 8–10, and 16 with a J774A.1 macrophage cell line. 50 µg/mL nanoMOFs were incubated with 3 × 105 J774A.1 cells for 4 h, and then washed to remove the nonfirmly bound nanoMOFs. After cell lysis, the amount of internalized nanoMOFs was determined by ICP-MS and was expressed as a % of the initial amount put in contact with the cells.
