mGlu5 receptor expression was lower in the Homer-immunoprecipitated protein fraction of Fmr1 KO compared with control mice. Western blots of proteins immunoprecipitated with anti-Homer (A) and anti-Homer1a (B) antibodies from 30 μg of forebrain SPMs of P21 control (wt) and Fmr1 KO mice are shown. Lanes were loaded with total SPM proteins (Tot) or with immunoprecipitated proteins (P). The last two lanes in A were loaded with cellular lysate from rat kidney (K), taken as negative control. Anti-mGlu5, anti-Homer, and anti-Homer1a antibodies were used for immunodetection.
