The subjects watched videos of actors lifting a box and were instructed to judge whether or not the actor was trying to deceive the observer about the weight of the box. Each trial corresponds to the presentation of a color movie of 3.5 sec followed by a screen of 1.5 sec on which the words Real and Faked were displayed. The position on the screen of the two words was randomized across trials to avoid motor preparation during the observation phase. The subjects were required to decide (forced choice) whether the actor had a deceptive intention by making key-press with the right finger.
