Diagrammatic representation of the interaction of IL-1β with the Rho-ROCK signaling axis. IL-1β acts to deactivate Rho, leading in turn to dephosphorylation of MYPT and MLC, loss of stress fibers, and disruption of focal adhesions and dephosphorylation of FAK. Conversely, IL-1β upregulates phosphorylation of ERM family members.
