Intracellular recordings obtained from the latLFG-PN shown in Figure 2C. This projection neuron was tested by antennal stimulation with the odor compounds and concentrations indicated (v/v). Stimulus onset and duration (200 msec) are indicated by the solid line below each record. The arrows indicate the arrival of the stimulus to the antenna (calculated from the EAG responses). At 1:1000, (–)linalool evoked no response. The response to (+)linalool was stronger than the response to (–)linalool and was dose dependent. Ocimene and both enantiomers of citronellene evoked no response even when tested at high concentrations. Insets show 300 msec segments on an expanded time scale.
