Plot of horizontal optokinetic reflex gain versus stimulus velocity. Control and dark-reared (DR) animals are plotted as open and filled triangles, respectively. Error bars span 1 SD. Although the dark-reared animals generated compensatory eye movements in response to visual stimulation, their OKR gains were attenuated in comparison to controls, particularly at low stimulus velocities.
