Change of direction selectivity over motion cycles in the NB experiment. Conventions are the same as in Figure 3. Note that for the attended condition, direction selectivity is preserved over time, whereas for the nonattended condition, 46% of neurons in the second motion cycle and 88% of the neurons in the third cycle showed a significant decline of the DI compared with the first MC. Asterisks indicate a neuron with negative DI values during second and third MC in the nonattended condition (-0.06; -0.23) for which the corresponding data point had been placed on the null axis for simplicity.
