Note that for the attended condition, direction selectivity is preserved over time, whereas for the nonattended condition, 46% of neurons in the second motion cycle and 88% of the neurons in the third cycle showed a significant decline of the DI compared with the first MC. Asterisks indicate a neuron with negative DI values during second and third MC in the nonattended condition (-0.06; -0.23) for which the corresponding data point had been placed on the null axis for simplicity.
