Localization of transactivated TrkA in basal forebrain neurons. Indirect immunofluorescence analysis was used to examine localization of transactivated TrkA in primary basal forebrain neuronal cultures. Cultures were treated with PACAP38 as indicated and labeled with phospho-TrkA (green) and pan-Trk (red) antibodies. Where indicated, K-252a (100 nm) or brefeldin A (5 μg/ml) was used to pretreat cells before addition of PACAP38. Cell nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue).
