Images of uninjured control (contralateral) and transected (ipsilateral) sciatic nerve show that contactin (left) and Nav1.3 (middle) accumulate within axon-like profiles within the neuroma (right, short arrows), with less immunostaining in proximal regions of the transected nerve.
