Analysis of CREB expression in the dentate gyrus of the adult hippocampus. Mice were administered BrdU, and the brains were processed either 3 d (A-E) or 14 d (F-I) later for immunohistochemistry. Representative images of triple-immunostained cells are shown for CREB (red; A, B, F), TUC-2 (green; C, G), BrdU (blue; D, H), and the merged images (E, I). A low-magnification image shows that CREB-immunoreactive cells are located throughout the entire GCL (A).
