Mouse cytomegalovirus (MCMV) infection and type-I interferon (IFN) oppositely regulate Clr-b nascent transcript levels. NIH3T3 cells were infected with MCMV-GFP at a multiplicity of infection of 0.5 PFU/cell (a) or treated with 103 U/mL IFN-α4 for 24 h (b). Levels of Clec2d nascent pre-mRNA transcripts across introns 1–4 were quantified by qRT-PCR and normalized relative to Gapdh (a) or Hprt and Tbp (b). Significance was determined by a 2-tailed t test (n = 3–5 experiments). * p < 0.05, ** p < 0.01, *** p < 0.001.
