All these genes have been described to exert a pro-inflammatory function (pro-inflammatory genes in black font). Panel B shows variants with recognized immune function identified in the non-affected subjects. Most of these genes exert an immune suppressor function (suppressor genes in green font, pro-inflammatory genes in black font).
