Experimental data showing the bode plots obtained in three monkeys in the naive gain state (70F, 062, and 066), after chronic low-gain (062) and chronic high-gain (70F and 066) adaptation to show that the dynamics of the reflex are maintained across the entire broadband spectrum of head movement. VOR gain (A) and phase (B) were measured during sinusoidal rotations in the dark (±40°/sec). Animals were adapted for 3 weeks before the start of sessions for the low- or high-gain data. Note that the dynamics of the reflex (phase) are relatively unchanged and that the gain changes span the entire frequency spectrum tested.
