Expression of NCKX2 or its transcripts in the supraoptic nucleus (SON) and the neurohypophysis. In SON, positive signals for NCKX transcripts were revealed by in situ hybridization (A). NCKX2 mRNA was detected using digoxigenin-labeled NCKX2 antisense riboprobes. Somata of MNCs were strongly positive to NCKX2. However, the micrograph obtained from immunohistochemistry indicates that NCKX2-immunoreactive signals are very weak in SON (B).
