Excess potassium (100 mm) was included in the perfusate for 30 min starting at 0 min (horizontal bar above K+), and 250 μmd-amphetamine (AMPH) was included in the perfusate for 30 min starting at 120 min (horizontal bar above AMPH). Both potassium-evoked and d-amphetamine-induced overflow of dopamine in the substantia nigra (A, B), caudate nucleus (C), and putamen (D) were significantly increased in the GDNF recipients compared with the vehicle recipients.
