Other analytes of interest following a cocaine infusion. Microdialysis allows for the analysis of a number of analytes in addition to DA. Select neurochemicals of interest are shown here. A self-administered cocaine infusion increased extracellular levels of Glutamate and 3-MT (a dopamine metabolite) in all rats. Cocaine-evoked 3-MT was greater in IntA rats than LimA rats or LgA rats.
