aGroups of eight six-week-old BALB/c mice were inoculated intranasally with 106 EID50 of each virus. Three mice from each group were killed on Day 3 post-inoculation, and virus titres were determined in samples of nasal turbinate, lung, spleen, kidney, and brain in eggs. Five mice were observed for two weeks for body weight changes. Virus was not detected from the spleen, kidney, or brain of any mouse; therefore, these data are not shown in the table. Data are presented as means ± standard deviations. /, virus was not detected in the sample.
