The activities of enzymes are expressed as follows: SOD – One unit of activity was taken as the enzyme quantity, which gave 50% inhibition of nitroblue tetrazolium reduction in 1 min/mg protein; CAT – µmoles of H2O2 consumed/minute; GPx – µg of glutathione consumed/minute/mg protein; GST- µmoles of 1-chloro 2,4-dinitrobenzene-GSH conjugate formed/minute/mg protein.
