Effect of PC (1) treatment on cytokine mRNA expression in HaCaT cells. HaCaT cells were treated with different concentrations of PC (1) (5, 10, 20 μM) for 1 h. The cells were further stimulated with 40 mJ/cm2 UVB. After 6 h, the cells were harvested, and relative mRNA levels were determined. Histograms show the densitometric data for TARC and MDC mRNA normalized to GAPDH. Each value represents the mean ± SD of three individual experiments. Nor: Non-treated cell group (0 h), Cont: 40 mJ/cm2 UVB treatment cell group. Data are expressed as the means ± S.D., n = 3. * p < 0.001 and ** p < 0.0001 compared to the control group.
