There is little difference in the magnitude of glucose intolerance induced by exendin-9 in subjects with or without surgery. (b) The effect of exendin-9 on insulin responses to meals. Insulin secretion after GLP-1R blockade was less in subjects with surgery than in controls. The surgical patients in Jiménez 2014 had VSG; the surgical groups in the other studies had RYBG.
